A Daniel Week

It's been a bit of a Daniel week. First his fifth birthday. Then his last soccer game of the season. Here are some highlights:



We gave Daniel a bike with training wheels for his birthday. He was very excited and we've been surprised at how quickly he learned to ride.


This was the cake he picked out. I gave him a choice between Mickey Mouse, a monkey, or a soccer ball. He chose the ball and it was actually really easy with only three colors and not a lot of surface area to cover.



This morning he played his last soccer game of the season. I can't believe it's over already! I truly enjoyed the games and practices, especially since I made some new friends. We had several really nice families and a great coach.

And this picture pretty much epitomizes the game. The other team had several kids who were really good and they beat ours pretty badly. Daniel did score a goal though. He told me later, "Mom, I kicked it right through the other guy's legs." followed by snickers. Too cute.

Thanks to all who came out at some point or another during the season to support and cheer for Daniel. He loved having you there and often talks about who came to see him play.
