One Thousand Gifts

It seems a little backwards to be writing about a book before I've read it, but I get the feeling there isn't much about this book that will be expected.

My friend Ginger participates in Multitude Mondays: One Thousand Gifts through the site A Holy Experience. I always enjoy her posts and am reminded to take notice of and give thanks for the little things. I decided today that it's time for me to join her.

I visited A Holy Experience.

Find yourself a quiet space. Turn your speakers on low. Then immerse yourself in the site. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Amidst the encouragement, gentle challenges, peaceful music, and beautiful pictures, I discovered references to this book.

The picture is hyper-linked so you can click it and go directly to its Amazon listing. There you'll find something I think is truly unique. This book has 156 customer reviews. 153 of those are 5 star reviews. Three are 4 star reviews. There are no 3, 2, or 1 star reviews. None.

I'm going to buy this book. I think I was meant to follow this path today. I miss my 'mama's chair', where I could curl up with a book like this and just soak in the peace. (sigh)

And Monday, as long as I don't forget by then, I'll be starting my own journey to a thousand.

It's nice to know we're on this path together. :) You will NOT be disappointed by the book. I'm only on chapter 2 and I've cried and been moved, I'll be pondering some of her wisdom-full nuggets for a while.
