Crochet Patterns To Skip

I've recently become somewhat obsessed with crocheting. It's a fun, relatively cheap little hobby and there are tons of free patterns online. In fact, I've spent a good deal of time bookmarking projects I'd like to try. Things like circle blankets, baby hats, slippers, lace, and fun scarves. In the process, I came across a few patterns I definitely won't make. Some that I can't figure out why anyone would make them...

For example:

Really?
A crocheted can holder?
And this isn't the only one I saw. There are lots of versions.

These cracked me up.
Bell bottoms.
Crocheted.
I keep thinking "Rainbow Bright".
Would someone really wear that? Or maybe worse, make their daughter wear it?

If, for some reason, you'd like to relive the 2008 Presidential Election, you can crochet a set of Barack Obama and John McCain finger puppets.

I don't think any of the men in my life would wear a poncho, much less a crocheted one. But if you know a guy who would wear one, several patterns are available. In fact, here's another link.

Many a pattern screams "1980s", but this one... well...it's actually called "Heavy Metal Collar, Belt, and Gauntlets".

I'm not sure that wearing a crocheted version projects the same image.

I like this shawl. It's pretty.

But the pattern title, along with the picture.....
(just shake your head.)

And last, but not least -

Would you wear this headband?
Outside your house?

Hey Julie,
Welcome to the Yarn Club ! LOL
Emmy showed me how to make the cutest scarf without having to knit or crochet.... she used various types and colors of yarn coupled with ribbon. I did mine in shades of blue. It turned out really cute.
I could see Ashley wearing that headband. ;)
