Predicting Future Behavior

If past behavior is any indication of future behavior, which Dr. Phil insists it is, we've got a few things to look out for.

- Daniel will soon be eating only foods that have been pre-frozen. In addition to sneaking chicken nuggets, waffles, and ice cream out of the freezer, he's now sneaking other foods into it. Apparently while helping put away groceries. Yesterday at lunchtime I discovered a FROZEN GREEN PEPPER!

- Brenna's school career is not starting out well. Last night, about 10:15, Michael said, "Julie? I think we missed something today." silence........while I wracked my brain. Nothing. "What's that?" "Kindergarten registration" Awww. Yeah, I know we can just go today (except we can't because Daniel's car seat is in Michael's car AT WORK!!!), but the point is, we've been so excited about this day and we missed it! We looked up the date before Christmas. Somehow, it just slipped my mind. If we can't get to registration, how are we going to get to the science fair, the band concert and graduation?? ; )

- As far back as I can remember, I have never been a morning person. I do not like to get out of my nice warm bed in the morning and I do not like to wake up before 8. Ok 9, but don't tell anyone. Clearly when Brenna starts school this fall, I will have a big adjustment to make. It's probably not going to be pretty. Hey, wait a minute....if I home schooled......

- And finally, based on Daniel's new delight in running tight circles for long periods of time, I predict that he's headed for NASCAR. Watch out Kyle Busch!

oh julie! you have a rude awakening for you. before i had joe i liked to sleep in til 8, and 9 or 10 on the weekends, but all that changed with school. why do kids have to be on the bus at 7:30? one year its was 7:10!!! for an elementary student!!! give me a break. now i'm out of my cozy little bed by 7 getting my snuggly little boy out too. he's not much of a morning person either! do you guys have afternoon kindergarten? maybe you can put it off for a year--heehee

Thankfully some behaviors can be all but forgotten. When my older two were tiny, I couldn't leave them together in a room. They would get mad about something and scratch each other on the face, drawing blood. I'm surprised there are no scars. They eventually learned to settle their difference in other ways and now they are great friends.

Homeschool is well worth considering. :) Flexibility is only one of the many benefits.
