Reading Material Galore!!

Right now I'm waiting for the buttercream icing to set on Brenna's birthday cake so I can apply the fondant. I've never done a cake with fondant before so I'm hoping this works. Actually her birthday isn't until Wednesday but Wednesdays are really busy days for us so we're having her cake early.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share what I got this weekend!


These first two are on loan from my sister and brother-in-law in South Carolina. They saw that Obsessed was on my Fall Reading List and they brought it up this weekend so I wouldn't have to buy it! AND they brought a bonus book! : )

This Beverly Lewis series is on loan from my Aunt (read 'Ant') Suz in Ohio. She sent them down this weekend with my Aunt (again, read 'Ant') Kathy, who we call Kalf, though I don't actually know why we call her that.

These books also came from Suz. The one on the bottom right is actually the book on tape. I'll probably have to borrow Brenna's tape player to listen to that one! Also, I get to keep the cookbook!

And finally, check out all these magazines! Kalf brought them from her church in Ohio.


So it looks like I'm good for the Fall Reading Challenge. All these, plus what's on my list. AND all the John Piper book I decided to read online. (and maybe the one I bought too.)

Ok. That icing should be set. If not, I'm forging ahead anyway. Wish me luck with the fondant!
