Spring Reading Thing 2007
Following a series of links that I no longer remember, I stumbled on this reading challenge at Callapidder Days. I'm a huge bookworm, but I haven't read much of anything since Daniel was born. I'm a little late getting started in the challenge, but at least I'm starting. Here are the books I want to read over the next two months:
Babywise II - this will be a refresher on early discipline and boundaries for Daniel...I've forgotten all the things we did with Brenna - all I know is that it worked! So I need to reread this (or at least skim it.)
Black, Red, and White - 3 book series by Ted Dekker. I'm not sure which order they go, but Michael read them a long while ago and said they were really good. Everything by Dekker is good!
Streams of Living Water- by Richard Foster. This is will be my hard reading.
Can We Do That? - This is a church book by Pastors Ed Young and Andy Stanley. Michael and I are reading it together for ideas and discussion. We really enjoy Ed Young's ministry and are hoping to find a few nuggets to put into practice at our own church.
Discover Your Child's Learning Style - My mom-in-law brought this book over a few weeks ago and I'm so hooked. I've found myself agreeing with the assessments of our schools and I can't wait to try out the profiles on my family.
I think that's enough. Looking at the list, I may have over-challenged myself. I will also be working through the second half of Daniel by Beth Moore, but I didn't put it in the list because it's a workbook,. I'm leading that study and teaching the information so that should probably count in my list...it'll definitely take up quite a bit of time.
I think I'm ready!

Ooh, you can do it! Just set your mind to it and you'll be amazed.
Happy reading!
Good list! I just bought Daniel...hope to get it done this spring...
Great list! Happy Reading! =)
Just remember, a lot of mamas have used the Babywise books and had problems. Read and implement with caution and discernment.
Discover Your Child's Learning Style looks great. That's one of my passions and I'll have to check it out. And I love the Black, Red, White trilogy -- couldn't put it down! Thanks for joining in the challenge. Enjoy your books!
