Favorite Things: In The Kitchen

Many of the items on My Favorite Things list were related to kitchen. Today I'm going to explain why they made the list.

Dawn Direct Foam: We love this stuff! Instead of liquid dish soap, this bottle dispenses foam. You only need a little bit to make a lot of suds and it cleans just like the traditional Dawn dish soap. Another thing I like is that it doesn't get dried soap all over the top like the old bottle did. The pump is easy to keep clean so it looks nice on your counter.

Cascade 2 in 1 Action Pacs: These are little packets that have Dawn dish soap on one side and Cascade dishwashing detergent on the other. We don't use them all the time because of the cost, but whenever we have a particularly large or dirty load of dishes we throw one in. They seem to work better than detergent alone.

Glad Press-n-Seal: We will never go back to saran wrap! This stuff seals so much better and is so versital. We use to cover all sorts of things in the fridge and to make an airtight seal around larger items like pizza slices, sandwiches, and vegetables.

Slow Cooker Liners: I should've tried these a long, long time ago. They are basically a plastic bag that goes in your slow cooker. You put the food in and when you're ready to clean up, you just lift the bag out and throw it away. Huge time saver and a lot less work!

That's a good start for today. There are several more items from my list related to the kitchen which I'll leave for another day. I'm off to do the dishes, laundry, get a shower, feed the baby, make lunch, pick up the living room....and all the other things a housewife does. (Does that sound a little old fashioned?)
