A few weeks ago at dinner, Daniel (age 4) decided to teach Carrie how to pray.
Come on Carebear, put your hands together like this.
[He carefully placed his palms and fingers together and gave them a fish wiggle.]
Now close your eyes.
[He squeezed his eyes shut and bowed his head.]
Then just...
[pause...small shoulder shrug]
Start talkin'.
How refreshing. To be reminded that it's just that simple. No fancy words. No well known phrases. Not even memorized scripture segments or trendy Christian lingo. Just start talking.
Become like a little child. (Matthew 18:4)
