Welcome to 2011

And we start the year with a dead computer. We are in mourning.

All of my Christmas pictures had already been loaded onto the shared drive before the final farewell. Did I mention we are in mourning? It's all backed up on the external hard drive, thankfully, but I don't have access to it at the moment.

In the meantime, since I can't upload oodles of pictures, I've been on a the fast track to finishing a quilt. I've gained a new skill -
I can now mitre corners on my borders! I'm quite excited about that. I've also been machine quilting with my new walking foot and I think I've been converted. (Don't tell my Nana.) New quilting motto is to hand quilt what's likely to be an heirloom and machine quilt everything else.

I've also been reading:

The Strong Willed Child (surely that doesn't surprise anyone...)

Her Mother's Hope by Francine Rivers

The Twelfth Imam by Joel Rosenberg

All three highly recommended!

Christmas pictures will follow soon. Along with a picture of my latest quilt. Later, though, because with one computer down - Michael and I have to share. And he's waiting....

Sorry about your dead computer, that was us last year. It stinks sharing, huh? Francine River's book is on my night stand too - just got it from my sis-in-heart, and the 12th Imam is on my list. I'm also reading Families where Grace is in Place...something I really need a lot of help with right now.
Happy Quilting! ps - I won't tell. ;)

Sharing a computer isn't always fun. My hubby and I have been sharing since mine crashed last year. Happy New Year!

The Francine Rivers book is wonderful. The sequel "Her Daughter's Dream" is wonderful too.
