Placemats

Here's an idea that has made things just a little bit more easier at our house: plastic placemats. Most mornings Brenna and I have breakfast together in the living room while we watch the Today Show. She's always used a breakfast tray, but they wear out so fast. Washing them seems to cause the tray part to deteriorate. For Christmas this year, she got a set of four Veggietale placemats and we've started using those instead. They are wonderful! They clean up quickly and are easily stored. Plus, on Sundays when we have lunch in the living room so Michael can watch the Redskins play, there are enough placemats for each of us. Did I mention they were cheaper too?
